B |                                                           [앵커]장미란 씨 실종 신고는 모두 세 차례, 마지막 신고는 7월 19일이었습니다.경찰은 이 세 번째 신고를 받고도 거의 20일이 지나서야 사건이 허위 종결된 정황을 의심했던 것으로 확인됐습니다.현경주 기자가 보도합니다. [리포트] 장미란 씨가 사라졌다며 남자친구가 경찰에 처음 신고한 건 5월 15일. 신고를 접수한 부 모 경장이 장 씨와 연락이 닿았다며 2시간 반만에 사건을 종결 처리했습니다. 하지만 남자 친구는 장 씨와 연락이 닿지 않자 두 달 뒤 파출소를 찾아가 다시 신고했습니다. 이틀 뒤엔, 장 씨 가족이 서울 노원경찰서에 세 번째 실종 신고를 하면서 사건은 제주서부경찰서로 이첩됐습니다. 결국 지난달 21일 제주 서부서 실종팀은 남자친구에게 접수 사실을 알렸습니다. [장미란 씨 남자친구/음성변조 : "실종팀에서 집 안에 짐이나 뭐 이런 거 있는지 확인한다고 한 번 오셨거든요. 집에 왔다고 전화 온 건 실종팀장이었어요."] 그런데 25일에는 형사팀까지 찾아왔습니다. 장 씨의 통신기록을 조회하기 위해 영장이 필요하고, 추가 조사를 해야 한다는 겁니다. [장미란 씨 남자친구/음성변조 : "실종팀에서 형사팀으로 넘어와서 이제 전담팀이 꾸려질 거고, 장미란 씨 실종 당시 상황이랑 그런 거 경위 조사하고 갔죠."] 하지만 경찰이 장 씨의 통신 기록에서 부 경장과의 통화 내역이 없다는 사실을 확인한 건 2주 가까이 지난 이달 7일이었습니다. 세 번째 신고가 들어온 지 19일이 지나서입니다. 형사과장이 이날 부 모 경장을 면담해 경위를 확인했고, 사흘 뒤, 부 경장의 통신 기록에도 통화 내역이 없는 것으로 나온 뒤에야 경찰은 사건 허위 종결에 대한 보고와 함께 수사로 전환했습니다.
